The Senior Capstone Experience (SOCI 392) is a culminating experience in the Sociology Major where students design, conduct, and present an original research project. On Friday, December 13, five students presented their Capstone research projects. The titles were as follows:
- “They Treat Their Dogs Better Than They Treat Us”: Psychological Effects of Detention on Latino Immigrants – Chloe Smith
- October 7 and its Aftermath: The Impact on Pro-Palestinian Students – Kamar Taweel
- Human Centered Design and Quality of Life – David White
- Left Behind: The Pandemic’s Toll on U.S. Elementary Students – Alyssa Zimmerman
- Rejected at Home, Resilient in College: Parental Influence on LGBTQ+ Educational Journeys – Elijah O’Connor
