Cielle Brady Receives Prestigious Internship

Cielle Brady, a sociology undergraduate student, has been selected for a Cleveland Foundation Summer Internship with East End Neighborhood House Association. The Cleveland Foundation Summer Internship Program provides students and recent graduates with 11-week, full-time, paid summer internships, working with Cleveland nonprofit and public sector organizations. East End Neighborhood House (East End), is one of Cleveland’s oldest settlement houses and serves primarily the Buckeye/Woodhill neighborhood. In addition to being a community safe space, East End provides quality childcare, after-school programs, and a senior center. As part of the team, Cielle Brady will help create and organize the expansion of the organization’s Marjorie Hall-Ellis Institute to include young adults.

Currently, the Marjorie Ellis-Institute collaborates with local speakers and organizations to introduce services and subject matter workshops for parents and families. The workshops have focused on the needs of childcare parents and community members. As their new young adult hire, Cielle’s main responsibilities include creating leadership and personal development programming for young adults, recruiting mentors, and leading programming as needed. The workshops will cover important topics for becoming a successful adult and cultivate networking opportunities for participants.
